Substitute Food Service Worker - Variable Hours, Day/School Year
Job Summary:
The school food service staff member works under the direct supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager and perform general kitchen work and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Works as a team member by assisting in food preparation, serving, kitchen clean-up and the cleaning of various kitchen equipment.
- Able to provide exceptional customer service
Physical Qualifications:
- Able to work in standing position for prolonged periods
- Able to lift material weighing up to 45 pounds
- Exposed to heat while cooking and preparing foods
- Has manual dexterity to handle knives and other pieces of kitchen equipment
- Hazards may include, but are not limited to cuts from knives and, burns
Educational Qualifications:
- Experience in the school lunch program, quantity food preparation in a hospital, industrial, or other large-scale feeding operation
